The Bengal AVGC-XR Association, fueled by passionate creativity and industry collaboration, is set to revolutionize West Bengal’s AVGC sector

 

The unwavering dedication and creative brilliance of West Bengal’s talented individuals have paved the way for the birth of the Bengal AVGC-XR Association. Launched on 16th October, this collective endeavor aspires to serve as a cornerstone of support for budding artists and companies involved in the creation of cartoons, special effects for films, comics, and captivating video games. Let’s delve into this exciting development that’s transforming the AVGC industry in West Bengal.

 

Inauguration at kalaAkar Art Festival:

The association made its official debut during the kalaAkar Art Festival, organized by the students of the Supreme Knowledge Foundation, which is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The campus radiated with awe-inspiring artwork created by students of the Multimedia Animation and Graphics department, showcasing the incredible talent within the state. This collaboration symbolizes a significant step in bridging the gap between aspiring artists and the industry.

 

 

Distinguished Patrons:

Prominent figures like Ashish Kulkarni, Rajiv Chilaka, and Pradip Chopra have played a pivotal role in catalyzing the formation of this non-profit organization devoted to fostering the growth of the AVGC sector and VFX studios in West Bengal. The Bengal AVGC-XR Association has elected 10 office bearers to lead the charge.

 

 

Key Office Bearers:
  1. Subrata Roy, founder of Hi-Tech Animation, has assumed the role of President.
  2. Niloy Kanti Biswas, CEO of Wackytoon Studio, is the Vice-President.
  3. Sayan Ghosh, CFO of Cloud House Animation Studios, takes on the role of Secretary.
  4. Six Joint Secretaries: Anirudhha Dasgupta, Anurag Chirimar, Ashis Roy, Subhra Chakraborty, Samrat Mukherjee, and Druhin Mukherjee.
  5. Ramesh Kr Ruia serves as the Treasurer.
  6. Binita Das is the Editorial Head.

 

President Subrata Roy’s Perspective: “The AVGC industry in West Bengal is a creative explosion. It showcases how art and technology can collaborate to create astonishing works. With exceptional quality, originality, and cost-effectiveness, West Bengal’s AVGC industry will continue to grow and delight people with its creative endeavors.

 

 

Diverse Committees:

The association comprises various committees dedicated to organizing events, digital media, magazines, and more. Members like Anindya Dasgupta, Sourav Mondal, Rajat Dolui, and many others have shown unwavering commitment to the association’s mission. The body warmly welcomes new members.

 

 

Educational Panel Discussions:

The launch event featured two enlightening panel discussions: “Building the bridge between industry and academics” and “Individual growth and opportunities in the design and animation industry in India.” A highlight of the day was a session titled “Creating your own IP using Indian art” by Vaanarsena Studios and School Senapati, along with Assemblage Entertainment’s Creative Director, Vivek Ram.

 

 

Promoting Passion and Perseverance:

Most speakers emphasized the vital role of passion and perseverance in excelling in the AVGC industry. Vivek Ram shared his personal journey, along with valuable insights, and was deeply impressed by the dedication of the young crowd that had tirelessly organized the event.

The Bengal AVGC-XR Association launch offered students a unique opportunity to interact with top creative minds in the industry, gaining valuable insights and inspiration.

 

 

Building a Thriving AVGC Ecosystem:

The association recognizes West Bengal’s vast talent pool, the presence of major studios, excellent training institutions, and cost advantages compared to other metro cities.
