Frame School Terms and Policies
Frame School is committed to maintaining transparent, student-friendly policies. After reviewing the policies of leading VFX and animation institutions globally and in India, we have structured our Terms and Conditions, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy to align with industry best practices while prioritizing our students’ interests. Notably, unlike some institutes that offer no refunds on program fees , Frame School provides a 7-day satisfaction guarantee refund for students. Below are our detailed policy documents, with clear sections for easy reference. Terms and Conditions Acceptance of Terms Welcome to Frame School. By accessing our website or enrolling in any Frame School course (whether live online or in-person), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services . Courses and Enrollment 2 Frame School offers a range of courses in visual effects, animation, gaming, and related digital arts, delivered either through live online sessions or at our physical training centers. Enrollment is open to anyone who meets our course prerequisites (if any) and agrees to abide by our policies. You must provide accurate and complete information during enrollment. By enrolling in a course, you commit to attending and participating in all classes and completing the required coursework to the best of your ability . If you are a minor (under 18 years of age), a parent or guardian’s consent may be required for enrollment. 3 Free Demo Class and Consultation We offer one free demo class and a complimentary career consultation to prospective students before enrollment. These sessions are optional and come with no obligation to enroll. The demo class provides a preview of our teaching style and course content, while the career consultation helps you understand potential learning paths and industry opportunities. Please note that availability of demo classes may be limited, and each individual is generally entitled to only one free demo session. Participating in a demo class does not guarantee you a seat in a course; you must still complete the standard enrollment and payment process to join a program. These free services are provided to help you make an informed decision about your education with Frame School. Fees and Payment • Course Fees: Each course has a specified tuition fee, which will be communicated to you in advance. Payment of the required fees is necessary to confirm your enrollment in a course. All fees are stated in Indian Rupees (INR) unless indicated otherwise, and they include any applicable taxes.
Payment Methods: We accept online payments through our secure payment gateway (Razorpay) as well as other methods as notified (such as bank transfer or credit/debit card at our center). We do not store your credit/debit card or banking details on our servers; all financial information is handled directly by our trusted payment provider Razorpay 4 , which adheres to industry security standards. Full Payment vs. EMI: You may either pay the full course fee upfront or opt for a zero-cost EMI payment plan (if offered for the course). The zero-cost EMI option allows you to pay the fee in equal monthly installments with no additional interest or charge to you. Approval for the EMI option may be subject to eligibility and based on the payment provider’s policies. Choosing the EMI plan constitutes an agreement that you will pay all installments on time as per the schedule provided. Enrollment Confirmation: Your seat in a course is confirmed only after we receive the required payment (either the full fee or the first installment in the case of EMI). Once payment is received, you will get an official receipt and an enrollment confirmation via email or other written communication. Payment Schedule for EMIs: If you opt for an installment plan, you must adhere to the due dates for each installment. Missing an installment or defaulting on payments may result in suspension of access to classes and course materials until the dues are cleared. Frame School reserves the right to withhold course completion certificates or bar access to further sessions in case of non-payment. Refundable/Non-refundable Components: The course fee typically covers tuition and standard resources. Any additional charges (for example, optional study materials, toolkits, or exam fees) will be specified and, if paid, are subject to the same refund policy described below unless stated otherwise. Taxes and Receipts: All fees include GST or other applicable taxes, unless noted. We will issue an invoice/receipt for your payment. It is your responsibility to retain payment receipts for future reference (e.g., for tax claims or reimbursement if needed). Cancellation and Refund Terms 1 We want you to be confident in your choice to study with Frame School. If you choose to withdraw from a course, Frame School offers a 7-day full refund period for any student who is not satisfied after starting a course. (Details on the process are provided in our Cancellation and Refund Policy below.) In summary, if you cancel your enrollment within the first 7 days from the course start date, you are eligible for a 100% refund of the tuition fees paid. This policy provides more flexibility compared to some institutes that do not offer any refunds once enrollment is completed . After this 7-day window, no refunds will be granted except in special cases such as a course cancellation by Frame School itself. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept the terms of our refund policy. Additionally, if Frame School must cancel or significantly postpone a course (for example, due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances), enrolled students will be offered a full refund or an alternative arrangement (such as a seat in a similar course or a later batch) as outlined in the Refund Policy. Student Conduct and Responsibilities 6 5 As a Frame School student, you are expected to behave professionally and respectfully in all your interactions and to use our services only for lawful and appropriate purposes . This includes attending classes on time (or logging in punctually for online sessions) and engaging respectfully with instructors, staff, and fellow students at all times . You should follow the instructions and guidelines given by instructors, maintain decorum in class, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or any form of abusive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. 2 You are responsible for keeping any login credentials (for online learning platforms or portals) confidential and for not sharing access to course materials or resources with unauthorized persons. Academic honesty is expected; plagiarism, cheating on assignments or exams, or unauthorized collaboration is strictly prohibited. Any violation of academic integrity or misconduct may result in disciplinary action. Frame School reserves the right to suspend or terminate your enrollment (and access to classes or materials) if you violate these conduct expectations or any other terms. In cases of serious misconduct, this termination may occur without a refund. We strive to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment for everyone, and we may remove any participant who undermines that environment after due warning or disciplinary procedure as appropriate. Intellectual Property All content and materials provided by Frame School in the course of your studies are the intellectual property of Frame School or our licensors. This includes, but is not limited to, lectures, lesson materials, slides, curricula, videos, software provided for use, and the design and content of our websites and online platforms. These materials are provided to you for your personal educational use only. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, publicly display, share, or create derivative works from any of our content without explicit prior written permission from Frame School . Recording of live classes (video or audio), or sharing any course content externally, is prohibited unless we have given you permission in writing. 7 Our brand name, logos, and trademarks are also protected. Students and alumni may reference Frame School (for instance, on a CV or LinkedIn profile as an educational credential), but must not misuse or misrepresent the brand. Using the Frame School name or logo for any commercial purpose, or to imply endorsement or partnership, requires explicit permission. In the courses, you may use third-party software or learning resources (for example, industry software for animation or design). You agree to comply with all license terms of any third-party software or content provided or recommended during the course. Frame School is not responsible for any license violations by students. Student-Created Work: Projects, artwork, animations, or other creations that you produce as part of the coursework remain your own intellectual property. You are free to use, display, or include these in your personal portfolio. Frame School may request your permission to showcase select student projects (for example, in our marketing materials or student success stories). Such use will only be done with your consent and with appropriate credit given to you as the creator. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability Frame School is committed to providing high-quality education and support to help you in your learning journey. However, we do not make any guarantees or promises regarding specific outcomes or results from our courses. By enrolling, you acknowledge that your success will depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and aptitude. We do not guarantee job placements, specific skill attainment, or any particular professional outcome as a result of enrolling in our courses. All courses and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind (express or implied) about their effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, or outcome . While we strive for 8 3 uninterrupted and error-free online course delivery, we do not warrant that the website, learning platform, or any content will be continuously available or free of technical issues. 9 To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Frame School will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your participation in our courses or use of our services . This includes, for example, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or any f inancial losses beyond the fee you paid to us. Frame School’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your enrollment or use of our services shall not exceed the amount of the course fees you have paid. You assume full responsibility for any decisions you make based on information provided in the course. Frame School and its instructors provide educational content for your development, but the application of that knowledge (in projects, exams, or real-world scenarios) is solely your responsibility. We are not liable for any personal injuries or property damage that may occur on our premises or during any course-related activities, except as due to our gross negligence. If you attend classes at our physical location, please take care of your personal belongings; Frame School is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. To the extent such laws apply, some of the above disclaimers or limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, Frame School’s liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Third-Party Services Frame School uses certain third-party services and tools to provide and enhance our offerings. By enrolling or using our website, you acknowledge that the following third-party services are involved, and you agree to their involvement as described:
Payment Processing: Online payments for our courses are processed by Razorpay, a secure third party payment gateway. When you make a payment, you may be redirected to or interact with Razorpay’s interface. Your financial information (such as credit card or bank details) is collected and processed by Razorpay, not by Frame School, and is subject to Razorpay’s own privacy and security policies . We encourage you to review Razorpay’s terms and privacy policy for details on how they handle your information . Frame School does not store your card numbers or bank account details. 10 Customer Relationship Management (CRM): We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) as a CRM platform to manage communications with students and inquiries. When you fill out a form on our website or contact us, your contact information and correspondence may be stored in Brevo’s system. This helps us keep track of your inquiries, send you information, and improve our services to you. Brevo is a trusted service provider and is obligated to keep your data confidential; it does not use your data for any purpose other than assisting us in serving you. Analytics: We use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, and Inspectlet to understand how users interact with our website and online platform. These services use cookies and similar technologies to collect data about website traffic and user behavior (e.g., pages visited, clicks, time on page). This information is generally aggregated and helps us improve the website and our offerings. No personally identifying information (like your name or contact info) 4 is visible to these analytics platforms in this process. For instance, Google Analytics may track that a user visited certain pages, but it does not tell us who you are. You can opt-out of Google Analytics by using a browser add-on if you wish, and you can disable cookies (see our Privacy Policy below for more on cookies).
Advertising Partners: Frame School runs marketing campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads, Snapchat Ads, and others. To measure the effectiveness of these campaigns and reach prospective students, we may use tracking pixels or cookies provided by these platforms on our website. For example, we might use the Facebook Pixel or Google Ads cookies to know if you visited our site or to show you tailored ads related to Frame School on other sites. These platforms may collect certain information when you interact with our ads or website (such as IP address or device ID) to help us with analytics and ad targeting. We do not provide your personal details to third-party ad networks except as may be allowed in a privacy-compliant way (for instance, we may provide a hashed/encrypted identifier to Google or Facebook to exclude our existing students from advertising campaigns or to create anonymous lookalike audiences). All such use is subject to the privacy policies of those platforms. You can manage your ad preferences directly on those platforms to limit targeted advertising if you choose. Messaging and Communications: If you opt in to receive updates or marketing via messaging platforms, we utilize trusted services to communicate. For example, we use AiSensy to send WhatsApp messages and updates to users who have consented to such communication. If you provide your phone number for WhatsApp updates, we will use it only for sending you informational and promotional messages about our courses, and you can opt-out at any time by messaging the provided opt-out keyword (such as “STOP”) or requesting removal. For email communications and newsletters, we use MailerLite (an email marketing service) to design and send emails. If you subscribe to our newsletter or mailing list, your name and email address are stored in MailerLite for this purpose. All our marketing emails include an “unsubscribe” link allowing you to opt out easily at any time. We do not spam; we send emails or messages only to users who have given us their contact information and, typically, their consent to receive such communications. External Links: Our website or course materials may occasionally include links to external websites or third-party content (for example, an article to read, or a software download from a partner). These external sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Frame School is not responsible for the content or practices of those external sites. We recommend you review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit through links from our site. While we strive to partner with reputable and secure third-party providers, Frame School cannot be directly liable for issues, breaches, or damages caused by third-party services. However, we will take appropriate actions to address any problems to the best of our ability. We also ensure that we share the minimum necessary data with third-party services and that they are contractually bound to protect your information. Modifications to Terms Frame School reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. If we make material changes to the terms, we will notify students by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the effective date. In some cases, we may also notify you via email or through an in-course announcement. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically for any changes. Continued use of 5 11 our website or enrollment in our courses after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms . Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, your enrollment, or your use of Frame School services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts. Before pursuing legal action, we strongly encourage you to contact us to discuss and resolve any issue. We are confident that most concerns can be addressed through communication. If a dispute arises, we may, by mutual agreement, explore alternative dispute resolution methods (such as mediation or arbitration), but this is not mandatory unless required by law. Contact Information (Terms & Conditions) If you have any questions or concerns about these Terms and Conditions, please contact us: Email: support@frameschool.com (Example – please refer to our official website for the current contact email) Phone: [Our contact number as listed on the website] Postal Address: [Frame School’s physical address] We are here to help and will do our best to address any issues regarding our Terms. Cancellation and Refund Policy Scope: This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the conditions and procedures for canceling your enrollment in a Frame School course and obtaining a refund. It applies to all courses offered by Frame School, whether they are conducted online or in physical classrooms. By enrolling in a course, you agree to this policy as part of the overall terms of service. Cancellation by Student – 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Frame School offers a 7-day satisfaction guarantee for all our courses. If you enroll in a course and then decide that it isn’t the right fit for you, you may cancel your enrollment within the first 7 calendar days from the course start date and request a full refund of the course fee. The “course start date” is defined as the date on which the first class or lesson of the course is delivered or made available to you (whether in person or online). This guarantee also applies if you cancel after enrolling but before the course has begun – in such cases, since you haven’t attended any class yet, you are likewise entitled to a full refund provided you inform us before the first session. To exercise this 7-day refund option, you must notify Frame School in writing (email is preferred) of your decision to withdraw no later than the seventh day of the course. As long as your cancellation email/request is sent within this time frame, you will receive 100% of the course tuition you have paid – with no penalties, 6 no administrative charges, and no questions asked. We want you to have the opportunity to experience our program risk-free, a benefit that exceeds the policies of many other institutes that offer no refunds once a program has started . If you paid the course fee through an installment plan (zero-cost EMI) and you cancel within the 7-day window, any amount you have already paid will be refunded. Additionally, we will work with our payment partner to ensure that any future pending installments are canceled so that you are not charged beyond the date of cancellation. (It may be advisable for you to inform your bank or credit card as well about the cancellation to ensure no further charges are processed.) Important: The 7-day window is counted in calendar days from the course start. For example, if a course begins on 1st of a month, the last day to request a refund under this policy would be the 7th of that month (by 11:59 PM). If the seventh day falls on a weekend or holiday, the policy still applies (simply send us an email). We will consider the timestamp of your written cancellation request to determine eligibility. No Refund after 7 Days If you do not submit a cancellation request within the first seven days of the course start, your opportunity for a full refund will lapse, and the course fees become non-refundable. In other words, after the 7-day satisfaction guarantee period has passed, Frame School will not issue refunds if you decide to withdraw from or drop out of the course. This no-refund rule after the initial week is consistent with the standard practices of many training institutions once a course is underway . 12 By the end of the first week, a seat has been reserved for you and resources have been committed to your training (instructors, course materials, platform access, etc.), so we expect students to continue with the course beyond that point. If you face any issues that are prompting you to consider withdrawal after the f irst week, we encourage you to talk to us (see Additional Support below) – while a refund will not be available after day 7, we may be able to assist in other ways. Even if you stop attending classes or fail to utilize the online resources after this period, you will not be entitled to a refund unless you have an approved extraordinary exception from Frame School. Simply not attending classes or informing the instructor verbally is not an official cancellation; you must communicate with the administration as described to initiate any cancellation. Exceptions: We understand that unforeseen, extraordinary circumstances (such as a serious medical emergency, a family bereavement, etc.) can occur. If a situation beyond your control prevents you from continuing the course after the 7-day mark, you may contact us to explain the circumstances. Any refund or credit granted in such cases is at the sole discretion of Frame School management. We may request documentation (for example, a medical note) and will evaluate on a case-by-case basis. While we cannot guarantee a favorable outcome beyond our standard policy, we will show empathy and fairness within reasonable limits. (For instance, in genuine cases, we might offer a partial prorated refund or a credit to join a future batch, depending on the timing and circumstances.) Aside from such rare exceptions, after 7 days into the course, no refunds or fee transfers will be made for withdrawals. 7 Course Cancellation or Changes by Frame School Frame School aims to run all courses as scheduled. However, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course under certain circumstances (for example, if a course does not meet the minimum required number of enrolled students, or due to instructor unavailability, or other unforeseen operational issues). If Frame School cancels a course before it begins, you will receive a full refund of all fees you have paid for that course. In such a case, we will notify you as early as possible and process your refund immediately. Alternatively, where possible, we may offer you the option to transfer to another similar course or a later batch at your consent (but this is optional; a full refund remains available if you prefer). If a course has started and we must cancel the remainder of the course (for example, due to forces beyond our control or any regulatory reasons), we will refund the portion of the tuition corresponding to the remaining part of the course not delivered, or provide an equivalent credit, in a fair manner. If we need to significantly reschedule or change a course (for instance, changing a course’s format from classroom to online due to an emergency, or changing class timings in a way that is not minor), we will inform you. If such a change is not acceptable to you, you may withdraw and receive a fair refund for the remainder of the course. We strive to accommodate students in such situations with alternatives – for example, shifting to a different batch or course – in lieu of cancellation, if the student prefers. Minor adjustments or delays (such as a one-time rescheduling of a class session due to instructor illness or a public holiday) do not qualify as course cancellation – in those cases, the class will be rescheduled and the course will continue with all content delivered, and no refund is applicable as long as we fulfill the course delivery. 13 In summary, if Frame School cancels a course offering entirely, students will receive a 100% refund (or pro rata if the course was partially completed) or have the option to accept an equivalent alternative arrangement . We will communicate any cancellations or major changes via email and/or phone to the contact details on record. How to Request a Refund (Cancellation Procedure) To cancel your enrollment and request a refund within the eligible period, please follow these steps: 1. 2. 3. Submit a Written Request: Send an email to our admissions/support team at refunds@frameschool.com (or the designated email provided to you) stating that you wish to cancel your enrollment. Please include your full name, the course name, and the start date of the course. If possible, please also include a brief reason for your cancellation (this is optional, but feedback can help us improve). The subject line of your email could be “Cancellation Request – [Your Name], [Course Name]”. Confirmation of Receipt: Once we receive your cancellation request, we will acknowledge it by reply email (typically within 1-2 business days). The date of your email will be used to determine if the request is within the 7-day refund window, so you do not need to worry if our reply comes after that — as long as your request was sent in time. Refund Processing: If you are eligible for a refund, we will process it as follows – All refunds are issued back to the original payment method you used. For example, if you paid online via a credit card or bank transfer, the refund will be credited to the same credit card or bank account. We cannot issue refunds to a different account or in cash, for security and auditing reasons . We strive to 14 8 process refunds promptly. In most cases, we will initiate the refund within 7-10 working days of approving your request. However, the time it takes for the refunded amount to reflect in your account can vary depending on your bank or credit card provider (it could take a further 5-7 business days or one full billing cycle in some cases). We will inform you once we have processed the refund on our end. If there are any unforeseen delays, we will communicate to keep you updated. 4. 5. EMI Refunds: If you paid via zero-cost EMI, once your cancellation is approved, we will coordinate with the payment gateway/lender to cancel the remaining installments. Any amount already paid by you will be refunded to your original payment account. Typically, for credit card EMIs, the refund may either reduce your card balance or the next statement will reflect a credit. We will do our best to ensure no additional interest or fees are charged to you. It’s a good idea to also confirm with your bank that the EMI has been canceled from their end once we process the refund. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation from Frame School when your refund has been issued. If you do not receive the refund within the expected timeframe, please contact us again so we can assist you in checking the status. (Sometimes banks take a bit longer; we can provide transaction reference details if needed.) Note that refunds can only be credited to the original source– we cannot, for example, send the money to a different card or bank account than the one from which you paid 14 . This policy is in place for your security and to prevent fraud. Frame School does not charge any cancellation processing fee for refunds that fall within our policy terms. As long as you are eligible, you will receive the full amount you paid. We absorb any payment gateway transaction fees on refunds (unlike some providers that might deduct a percentage for processing). Our aim is to make the refund process straightforward and fair. Additional Support and Fairness Our goal is that you never have to reach the point of wanting a refund. If at any time in the course (whether within the first week or later) you feel unsatisfied or are facing difficulties – for example, struggling with course material, scheduling challenges, or any other issue – please reach out to us. We encourage students to talk to their instructor or our academic support team if they encounter challenges. Frame School is dedicated to your success, and we may be able to find a solution short of cancellation: such as extra help sessions, switching you to a different course or batch that suits you better, or addressing any concerns you have . We value open communication and will try our best to help you have a positive learning experience. 15 If you do choose to cancel within the allowed period, we handle it with understanding – we would appreciate feedback but will never harass or pressure you to stay. If you cancel beyond the allowed period and are not eligible for a refund, we can still provide course materials for the portion you paid for or discuss options like rejoining a future batch (at a discount, perhaps) when you are able to continue, at our discretion. These are not obligations on our part, but illustrations of our student-first approach. This Cancellation and Refund Policy is designed to be fair and transparent. By enrolling in a Frame School course, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. It’s also important to note that this policy does not diminish any rights you may have under consumer protection laws; in case any law provides you additional protections or rights, those remain applicable. Frame School may update or modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy from time to time (for example, if we introduce new courses with different refund terms or due to changes in laws). If we make a significant 9 change to the policy, we will notify current students via email or via an announcement on our website. The latest version of the policy will always be available on our official website. Any changes will apply to enrollments made after the policy update, and will not retroactively affect the refund eligibility of students already enrolled under a previous policy version. For any questions regarding this policy, or to discuss a unique situation regarding cancellation, you can contact our support team at support@frameschool.com or call us at [support phone number]. We are here to assist and ensure you have a clear understanding of your options. Privacy Policy Effective Date: (Last updated on [Date]) Frame School (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our students, website visitors, and anyone who engages with our services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use and share that information, and the measures we take to safeguard it. We aim to be transparent about our data practices and ensure that our policies are in line with student expectations and legal requirements. This policy applies to information collected through our website, online services, and in our physical training centers. By using Frame School’s website or services, or by providing us your personal information, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit personal information. Information We Collect We collect both personal information (that can identify you) and non-personal information (that does not directly identify you) when you interact with Frame School. This information is collected in a few different ways: • • Personal Information You Provide: When you inquire about our courses, sign up for a free demo class, enroll in a course, or subscribe to newsletters, we may ask for certain personal details. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and other contact details. We might also ask for information about your area of interest or the specific courses you are interested in (for example, whether you are interested in VFX, animation, gaming, etc.) so we can provide relevant information. If you enroll in a course, additional details like your postal address (for billing or certification purposes), and educational background or identity proof (if needed for course prerequisites or certification) may be collected. All information you provide to us is voluntary, but not providing certain details (like contact information) may limit your ability to enroll or receive information. Information Collected During Payment: If you make payments (course fees) online, you will provide financial information such as credit/debit card details or bank details, but Frame School does not collect or store your sensitive payment data on our servers. As noted, payments are handled by Razorpay on our behalf. We receive a confirmation of payment and basic details like your name, payment amount, date/time, and transaction ID from our payment gateway, but your card 10 4 number or banking password, etc., are not seen or stored by us . (See “Third-Party Services” below for more on payment processing.)
Automatically Collected Usage Information: When you visit our website or use our online student portal, we and our third-party analytics partners collect certain information about your device and how you use our services. This includes data such as your IP address, browser type, device type (mobile/desktop), operating system, pages or content viewed, clicks, scrolls and navigation information, the date and time of your visit, and referring website or advertisement (i.e., what brought you to our site). We collect this usage data primarily through cookies and similar tracking technologies (explained below) to help improve our website and understand user engagement . This information by itself does not directly identify you by name, but it may be linked to your user profile if you are logged in or if you later provide contact info to us. 16 Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, which are small text files stored on your browser, and similar technologies (like web beacons, pixels, and session recording tools) to collect information. Some cookies are essential for site functionality (e.g., to remember your login session on the student portal). Others are analytical or advertising-related (see Cookies and Analytics section below for details). You have control over how cookies are used on your devices.
Information from Communications: If you contact us via email, WhatsApp, phone, or through our social media pages, we may keep a record of that correspondence. This may include the content of your messages, any contact information you provide, and our responses. This helps us track issues and improve our support. Third-Party Sources: In general, we collect information directly from you. We do not typically buy or obtain personal data from third-party data brokers. However, in some cases, if you register or login via a social account (e.g., “Sign up with Google/Facebook”), we might receive basic profile info from those accounts with your consent. Or if someone refers you to Frame School and provides your contact (with permission), we would collect that. If so, we will treat that information in accordance with this policy. We do not collect any more personal data than necessary. In particular, we do not actively collect sensitive personal data such as racial/ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, etc., as these are not needed for our services. We only ask for the information that helps us provide education and support to you. How We Use Your Information Frame School uses the collected information for various purposes related to our educational services. The main purposes for which we use your data include: Providing and Managing Services: We use personal information to register you for courses, create and manage your student account, and generally deliver the educational services you signed up for. For example, we’ll use your information to enroll you in the appropriate class, to keep track of your progress, to issue certificates upon completion, and to respond to any queries or support requests you have. We also use it to schedule demo classes and career consultations as requested. Communication: Your contact information (email, phone) is used to communicate with you. This includes sending you course-related announcements, reminders about class schedules, changes or updates to the curriculum, administrative emails (such as payment confirmations, receipts, or renewal notices for ongoing programs), and responding to your inquiries or requests. We may also send informational and promotional messages about our programs – for example, emails about new courses, upcoming events, or career tips in your field of interest. These promotional 11 communications will be sent to you if you have subscribed or otherwise expressed interest, and you can opt out at any time (see Marketing & Choices below). We may use your phone number to send important updates via SMS or WhatsApp (for instance, a quick alert that a class is rescheduled).
Personalization and Recommendations: To enhance your experience, we may use data about your interests and behavior to personalize the content you see. For example, if you indicated an interest in Game Design, we might send you information or show content related to gaming courses. Or our website might highlight courses similar to ones you’ve browsed. This kind of customization is intended to make the information more relevant to you. Marketing and Advertising: With your contact details and consent where required, we use personal data for marketing Frame School’s programs. For instance, we might send newsletters or promotional emails about new batches, workshops, student success stories, or offers. We also might use limited data to target advertisements (as described under Third-Party Advertising Partners in the Terms and below). Note: Even though we promote our own services, we do not share your personal details with outside parties for them to market their own products to you. Any marketing is for Frame School only. And you can always opt out of marketing communications from us . Improving Our Services: We continually aim to improve our curriculum, teaching methods, and website functionality. Information like feedback you provide, survey responses, and analytics about website use help us identify what we’re doing well and where we can do better. For example, usage data (such as how many people visit a particular course page or where users drop off during the sign-up process) can guide us in making the website more user-friendly. If we find that many users are interested in a certain topic, we might introduce a new course on it. We also analyze support queries to improve our FAQs and customer service. 18 Safety and Security: We may use information to protect the security of our students, staff, and services. This includes monitoring for fraudulent transactions or unauthorized access. For example, if we detect suspicious login activity on your account, we might investigate or reach out to verify it’s actually you. We also keep logs of usage to trace and prevent any misuse of our website or violations of our Terms (such as someone attempting to hack the site or harass other users). Legal and Compliance: In certain cases, we need to use or preserve information for legal reasons. For instance, we maintain payment transaction records for accounting and tax purposes. If there’s a dispute or legal claim, we might use relevant data as evidence or to enforce our rights. We also will use or disclose information if required to comply with a legal obligation (e.g., a court order) or at the request of government authorities, following applicable law. We ensure that any use of your information is done in a fair and responsible manner. We do not use your data in ways that are unrelated to the services you have with Frame School without your consent. For instance, we will not sell your data to third parties for their own marketing, and we won’t spam you with irrelevant content. Our uses align with the reasons you provided the data to us in the first place . 17 Cookies and Analytics Like most websites, Frame School uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect usage data and improve our services: • What Are Cookies: Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer or mobile) when you visit a website. They serve a variety of functions, from keeping you logged in as you navigate pages, to remembering your site preferences, to collecting analytics information. We also use other technologies like web beacons (tiny graphics that monitor behavior) and local storage. For simplicity, we refer to all these as “cookies.”
How We Use Cookies: We use cookies to enhance your experience on our site. For example, if you create an account or log in to a student portal, cookies help remember your login session so you don’t have to re-enter your credentials on every page. Cookies also help remember any preferences (such as your language or display settings). We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site – for instance, which pages are most popular, how users navigate through the site, etc. This data helps us improve site design and content. We also utilize advertising cookies (from third party platforms like Google or Facebook) to help with our marketing (e.g., ensuring that our ads are shown to relevant audiences and not shown repeatedly to the same person unnecessarily). Third-Party Analytics: Specifically, we have implemented tools like Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, and Inspectlet on our website. These tools set their own cookies to collect information about site usage. Google Analytics, for example, might track that “User X visited the course catalog page and then the VFX course page, spending 5 minutes on the site.” Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar can record anonymized session replays or heatmaps, showing us how users click and scroll on our pages (this helps in UI/UX improvements). The information collected by these analytics services is generally aggregated and does not identify you personally. We do not collect things like passwords or sensitive personal details via these analytics tools – and in fact, we configure them to mask any such input fields. The data from these cookies is used internally to analyze trends 16 and statistics. Advertising and Retargeting: We mentioned in Terms that we use advertising partners. Cookies and pixels from platforms like Google Ads and Meta/Facebook may be present on our site. These allow those platforms to note if you’ve visited our site and what pages you saw. Later, this might be used to show you an ad about Frame School on their networks (this is called retargeting). For example, if you visited our “Animation Masterclass” page, you might later see an ad on Facebook about enrolling in that Animation course. These cookies also help us measure ad performance (like whether someone who clicked an ad actually filled out a form). They do not give us personal details about you; we just see aggregate reports (e.g., “100 people clicked this ad and 5 of them registered interest”). Nevertheless, because these technologies track your web activity, we want to be transparent about their use. Your Choices for Cookies: Upon your first visit to our website, you may see a notice about cookies. You can choose to accept or adjust your cookie settings. Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies through their settings (you can block or delete cookies). You are free to disable cookies, but note that doing so might affect some functionality – for instance, the site might not remember your login or preferences, and analytics or certain features might not work optimally. If you do not want Google Analytics to use your data, Google provides an opt-out browser add-on you can install. Similarly, you can opt out of personalized ads from Google or Facebook by adjusting settings in those accounts or via industry opt-out websites. Do Not Track: Some browsers have a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites that you do not want to be tracked. Currently, our site does not respond differently to DNT signals, because there is no standard interpretation of them. However, we treat all users’ data with the same respect and offer the opt-outs as described above. 19 In summary, our use of cookies is aimed at making our website work smoothly, understanding how we can improve it, and helping reach people who may benefit from our courses. We will not place cookies that invade your privacy or collect unnecessary data. You have the ability to manage cookies as you prefer . 13 Third-Party Services and Sharing of Information Frame School relies on certain trusted third-party service providers to operate our business efficiently. We want to be clear about who these entities are and what data they might handle. Wherever we share your information with third parties, we do so only to the extent necessary for them to perform their functions, and subject to appropriate privacy and security obligations.
Payment Processor (Razorpay): As noted, we use Razorpay to process online fee payments. When you enter your payment details, that information goes directly to Razorpay’s secure systems. Razorpay will handle your card/bank transaction and then inform us whether the payment was successful. Razorpay may store your card details (for example, if you opted to save a card or for EMI processing), but this is under their custody, not ours. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant and employs robust security measures to protect your financial data . Frame School does not receive or keep your sensitive financial information (like full card numbers, CVV, etc.) . We only get your name, contact, and an indicator of payment status from Razorpay. Razorpay’s use of your data is governed by their privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Razorpay’s privacy policy to understand how they safeguard your data in transactions 10 10 4 . If you have issues with a transaction (e.g., double charge or payment failure), we might share your transaction ID and email with Razorpay to resolve the problem – but again, this is limited to what’s needed to assist you. Email and CRM Services (Brevo & MailerLite): We use Brevo as our CRM and MailerLite for sending bulk emails (newsletters, announcements). If you fill a form on our site (say, to request a callback or download a brochure), your information is stored in Brevo’s database for us. Brevo helps us organize leads and student contacts, track communications, and avoid dropping queries. Similarly, if you subscribe to our newsletter or if we send out a batch email to all enrolled students, MailerLite is used. These providers store your name and email and any email preferences (like open/click rates) for our analysis. They act under our instructions and do not have permission to use your data for their own purposes. MailerLite, for example, will not email you except on our behalf. Both Brevo and MailerLite are established platforms that follow standard security and privacy practices. Every marketing email you receive via MailerLite from us will contain an “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom– if you click that, MailerLite will automatically ensure you no longer receive that type of email from us 18 . If you unsubscribe, we may still keep your email on a “do not send” list to make sure we honor your opt-out. Advertising Platforms: As described earlier, we may share some hashed or anonymized information with advertising platforms to help with our marketing. For instance, we might upload a list of student email addresses in encrypted form to Google or Facebook to either exclude those people from seeing ads (since they are already students) or to find “lookalike” audiences with similar interests. These platforms do not learn your actual email from that (they only see it if you already have an account with them that matches the hash). We do not provide your personal data like phone or email to other companies for their independent marketing. The advertising platforms we work with (Google, Meta, Snapchat, etc.) may collect information via cookies on our site as explained, and they operate under their own privacy policies. You can refer to their policies for more details (e.g., Google’s Privacy Policy, Facebook’s Data Policy). Analytics Providers: Google Analytics, Hotjar, Clarity, Inspectlet – these third parties receive usage data from our site. They may use that data to analyze traffic for us. Google may also use some data for its own purposes (e.g., improving its Analytics service). However, we do not allow Google to use our analytics data for ad personalization (there’s a setting we control). Hotjar/Inspectlet might record keystrokes or clicks on our site, but they are supposed to suppress any sensitive fields and not use 14 the data beyond providing analysis to us. We have agreements or terms with these providers that restrict them from accessing or using personal data beyond what is necessary. If you still have concerns, you can opt out of these as noted in the Cookies section. WhatsApp Messaging (AiSensy): If you have opted to receive WhatsApp communications from Frame School (for example, by ticking a box on a form saying you want updates via WhatsApp, or by initiating a chat with us and agreeing to updates), we will use a WhatsApp Business API provider called AiSensy to send you messages. AiSensy allows us to send broadcast messages or one-on-one chat in a managed way. It will have access to your phone number and message content since it’s facilitating the delivery of messages. AiSensy is bound to WhatsApp’s terms and cannot use your number for anything except sending our messages. You can always opt out from WhatsApp messages by messaging us “STOP” or requesting to unsubscribe, and we will honor that promptly. We will then cease sending you further messages via that channel (except possibly a confirmation of opt-out). Legal and Compliance Sharing: We may disclose your personal information to third parties if required to do so by law or in a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations (for example, responding to a court order or law enforcement request). We may also share information in emergency situations when the health or safety of someone may be at risk, or to investigate and protect against fraudulent or illegal activity, or enforce our Terms and other agreements. Such disclosures will be made only to the extent necessary and as permitted by law. Business Transfers: If Frame School undergoes a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of assets, your personal information might be transferred as part of that deal. Should that happen, we will ensure that the new owner continues to honor the commitments we’ve made in this Privacy Policy, and we will notify you (for example, via email or a notice on our website) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information. 20 Importantly, Frame School does NOT sell or rent your personal information to third-party companies for their own marketing or commercial use . All third parties that we work with are service providers or partners who help us deliver our own services to you. They are given only the information they need, and they have agreed (either through contracts or terms of service) to keep your information secure and not to misuse it. We also ensure, to the best of our ability, that our partners comply with relevant data protection laws. For instance, if any personal data is transferred outside of India (say, stored on a server in another country by one of our service providers), we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the provider’s compliance with frameworks like GDPR (for EU) or other applicable standards. Data Security Frame School takes reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We have implemented a variety of security practices, which include:- Using secure server environments with firewall and encryption technologies to store data. For example, our databases and web services employ encryption (HTTPS/SSL) for data in transit, so the information you submit on our website is encrypted when being transmitted to us.- Restricting access to personal data: Only authorized Frame School staff or trusted contractors who need to process your information (for the purposes described above) have access to it. They are bound by confidentiality obligations.- Regularly updating our systems and applying security patches to protect against vulnerabilities. We also 15 monitor our systems for possible attacks or intrusions.- Secure password policies and two-factor authentication where applicable for our internal systems. If you have a student account, we encourage you to use a strong password and keep it confidential. We will never ask you for your password via phone or email.- Payment transactions are handled by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant (a strict security standard for payment processing). Razorpay uses encryption and secure networks to process transactions, adding an extra layer of security for financial data . Despite all these efforts, it’s important to understand that no method of transmitting data over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure . While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Cyber risks evolve constantly, and although we work hard to guard against data breaches, we cannot promise that they will never occur. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, Frame School will follow applicable laws and regulations regarding notification. This means we will inform you and the appropriate authorities (such as India’s CERT-In, if required) of the breach, and provide guidance on steps you may need to take, in a timely manner as required by law. You also play a role in keeping your data secure. Please maintain the confidentiality of any account credentials, and be cautious about phishing attempts – Frame School will not ask you for sensitive information like passwords via unsolicited communications. If you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or any security issues, notify us immediately so we can help secure your account. Data Retention We will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required/permitted by law. In practice, this means:- If you expressed interest in our courses (e.g., requested information or took a demo) but did not enroll, we may retain your contact information for a reasonable period to follow up with you and inform you of new opportunities. For example, we might keep your data for up to a certain number of months or years in case you decide to join a future batch, unless you request deletion earlier. We balance this with not wanting to bother people unnecessarily – so if we notice you never engage with our communications, we may purge your data sooner. 22- If you enroll as a student, we will retain your data at least for the duration of your course. After course completion, we keep records of your enrollment, performance, and certification. Educational institutions often retain such records indefinitely for transcript or verification purposes. However, things like your submitted projects might be retained for a shorter period unless needed for accreditation or portfolio purposes. Financial records (invoices, payment receipts) are kept as required by tax laws – typically for a number of years as mandated. For instance, we will keep fee payment records and refund transaction details as part of our financial statements .- Any data that is no longer needed will be disposed of securely. We periodically review the information we hold. When deleting personal data, we take measures to ensure it cannot be reconstructed or read. For digital data, that might mean secure deletion, and for physical documents, shredding.- In some cases, instead of full deletion, we may anonymize data. For example, we might remove personally identifying details but keep aggregate statistics (like “number of students in 2025”) or generic feedback that doesn’t identify you, as this helps us academically and business-wise without retaining personal info.- If you withdraw consent for us to use certain data (where consent is the basis), we will stop using it going 16 forward. For example, if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we will stop sending those, but we might keep minimal info like your email on a suppression list to ensure we don’t accidentally contact you.- Note that legal requirements can override deletion requests. For instance, if a law requires us to keep records of all students for X years, we have to comply. Similarly, if we need information for resolving disputes or enforcing agreements, we might retain relevant data until the matter is closed. In summary, we try not to keep personal data longer than necessary. We aim to either delete or anonymize information once we don’t have a legitimate need for it. The retention times can vary depending on context and legal obligations, but we align with the principle of data minimization. Your Rights and Choices Frame School respects your rights regarding your personal data. As a user or student, you have certain abilities to control how your information is used and shared. Below are key rights and how you can exercise them: Right to Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. This is sometimes called a Subject Access Request. We will provide you with a summary of the data we have about you, usually within a reasonable time frame. For example, if you want to know what details you gave us upon enrollment, or what data we have collected, you can ask and we will supply it (after verifying your identity). Right to Correction (Rectification): If you believe that any personal information we have about you is incorrect or incomplete (e.g., your name is misspelled or you changed your phone number), you have the right to request us to correct it. We encourage you to keep your information up-to-date and will promptly make the corrections upon verification. Some changes (like an email address change) might require additional verification since that’s a primary contact. Right to Deletion (Erasure): You can request that we delete your personal data. For instance, if you decided not to pursue any course with us and want us to remove your inquiry records, or if you were a student long ago and want your personal data removed from our systems, you can ask for this. We will honor such requests to the extent feasible and lawful. Note that there are exceptions – we cannot delete data that we are required to keep by law or that is necessary for us to fulfill our contractual obligations. If you request deletion, we might first discuss with you what data can be removed, and then proceed. When we say delete, we mean we will erase your personal identifiers; some minimal data may be kept if needed (e.g., a record that “someone took course X in year Y” for academic integrity, but without contact info attached). Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent to use your data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. The most common example is marketing communications. If you previously gave consent to receive promotional emails or WhatsApp messages, and you no longer want those, you can opt out. Every marketing email from Frame School has an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom – by clicking that and confirming, you will stop receiving our promotional emails . If we send SMS or WhatsApp updates, those will include instructions to opt out (like replying “STOP”). You can always email us at support@frameschool.com with a request to unsubscribe from communications as well. Once you withdraw consent for a particular channel, we will cease use of your data for that purpose. (Bear in mind, withdrawing consent for marketing does not affect other communications – we may still contact you for service-related matters like class schedules, unless you also withdraw from the course.) 18 17 • • • • Right to Object or Restrict Processing: In certain situations, you may object to the processing of your data or ask us to restrict it. For instance, if you feel we are using your data in a way that you do not agree with, you can let us know. You might object to us using your data for analytics or advertising; we will consider such objections and comply unless we have a compelling legitimate interest to continue or a legal requirement. Alternatively, you can request a temporary restriction (say, you want us to halt processing while you verify the accuracy of some data or while a legal claim is resolved). We will accommodate as much as we can. Many of these scenarios are unlikely in our context, but the rights are there. Right to Portability: This is more applicable in contexts like social networks or cloud services, but if applicable, you could request to get your personal data from us in a machine-readable format to transfer to another service. In education context, you might just request transcripts or certificates which we can provide in human-readable form (like a PDF). Data portability in the strict sense (structured electronic data transfer) may not be widely relevant here, but we mention it for completeness. Right to Not Be Subject to Automated Decisions: Frame School does not make any purely automated decisions that have legal or significant effects on individuals (like algorithms deciding admission or grading without human involvement – we don’t do that). If we ever implement such processes, you would have rights to contest decisions and request human intervention. As of now, decisions like admissions or course outcomes are handled or reviewed by humans. Manage Cookies/Tracking: As discussed, you have the choice to manage cookies through your browser. You can also opt-out of certain tracking (e.g., Google Analytics) as described above. Additionally, many modern browsers offer global privacy controls or extensions that help block trackers – you are free to use those and it will not affect your access to our site (though it might affect some personalized features). How to Exercise Your Rights: To exercise any of your rights, you can contact us via email at privacy@frameschool.com (or the contact info provided in this policy). Please clearly state your request for example, “I would like to access my data” or “Please correct my phone number” or “Delete my account.” For security, we may need to verify your identity (to ensure it’s actually you making the request and not an imposter). Verification might be done by asking you to confirm some information we have on file, or login to your account, etc. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time frame, and in accordance with any applicable laws (some laws mandate a response within a set period, which we will follow if applicable). There is typically no fee for making a request. However, if a request is unfounded or excessive (e.g., repetitive requests), we might either charge a reasonable fee or refuse, but we’d explain why. Also note, some requests can be handled by you directly. For example, unsubscribing from emails via the link provided is the fastest way to opt out of marketing. Similarly, if we have an online profile system, you might update your contact details yourself there. But regardless, you can always reach out to us for help. We want you to feel comfortable about your data. Our team will happily clarify anything if you have questions about what we have or why. Your trust is important to us, and we will not ever retaliate or deny service just because you exercised a privacy right (for instance, we won’t treat you negatively because you opted out of marketing emails). 18 Children’s Privacy Frame School’s services are generally aimed at adults and young adults, such as college students or working professionals, typically above the age of 16. We do not market or direct our content towards young children. We understand the importance of safeguarding children’s personal data and protecting their privacy. If you are under the age of 13, please do not send us any personal information about yourself (such as your name, address, phone number, or email). Frame School does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 (for example, if a child registers on our site by falsifying age or a parent provided their details for an unrelated purpose), we will delete that information promptly . 21 For minors aged 13 to 17: We strongly advise that you seek the permission of a parent or legal guardian before providing any personal information or enrolling in any course. In fact, for our longer-term courses or programs, if you are under 18, we may require parental consent at enrollment as a matter of policy. Parents/guardians should supervise and be involved in the educational decisions of minors. If you are a parent or guardian of a minor who is interested in Frame School, we encourage you to contact us or work with your child during the inquiry and enrollment process. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child (under 18, and especially under 13) has provided us with personal information without consent, they should contact us immediately (see Contact Information below). We will then take steps to remove the minor’s information and (if under 13) exclude them from our communications and services unless proper consent is obtained. We might, on occasion, have workshops or courses designed for teens (for example, a summer camp in animation for high school students). In those cases, we will ensure to collect parental consent and any necessary documentation, following the laws and guidelines for minors’ education and data privacy. Our website might contain content (like student artwork or testimonials) that feature students who are minors (for instance, a success story of a 17-year-old prodigy). This is always done with explicit consent from the student and their parent/guardian. We never publish full names or personal details of minors publicly without consent. Changes to this Privacy Policy From time to time, Frame School may update or revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the policy. If changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice of the update. For example, we might display a notice on our website’s homepage or notify users via email about the key changes. Any changes to the policy will become effective when posted on this page, unless stated otherwise. In cases where we already have your information and the changes significantly affect how we can use it, we may seek your consent or give you a clear opportunity to opt out before the new practices are applied to you. 19 23 We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information and to check for any updates . Your continued use of our website or services after any modifications to the Privacy Policy signifies your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with any updates to the Privacy Policy, you should stop using our services and can request us to remove your data as per the deletion procedure above. Contact Information (Privacy Concerns) If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the handling of your personal data, please feel free to contact us. We have a designated team to address privacy and data protection queries. • • • Email: privacy@frameschool.com (You can email us here for any privacy-related inquiries or to exercise your rights as described above.) Postal Address: [Privacy Officer/Data Protection Team, Frame School, Address, City, Pin Code, Country] – if you prefer to write to us or need to send any physical documents. Phone: [Contact Number] – You may call our office; if it’s a privacy-specific issue, our staff will route your query to the appropriate personnel. We will do our best to respond promptly to your questions and resolve any issues to your satisfaction. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to being transparent and responsive.
Thank you for trusting Frame School with your education and your personal information. We take this responsibility seriously and are continuously working to keep that trust. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. If there’s anything you do not understand, please reach out – we are happy to explain.
