About Pathaan VFX & yFX studios 

Pathaan, a movie produced by Yash Raj Films, has benefitted from the expertise of yFX, a visual effects facility that was formed in 2016 as a part of YRF Studios. Pathaan VFX has about 3000 shots. The studio was established by a group of experienced, skilled, and award-winning VFX supervisors, technical directors, and artists, with the aim of providing film-makers with a one-stop solution for all their creative needs. yFX is equipped with the latest technology and offers a range of capabilities, including 3D asset build, animation, matte painting, compositing, and visual effects.


The studio’s technology includes state-of-the-art Maya, Houdini, Nuke, and Flame pipelines, along with high-speed servers and a large render farm. yFX’s first major project was working on the visual effects for the Salman Khan starrer SULTAN, where they delivered over 2000 VFX shots, including CGI virtual sets, crowd multiplication, 3D and live digital prosthetics.


In addition to providing 3D animation and visual effects for feature films, television, and advertising industries, yFX has also developed strong capabilities in the rapidly evolving fields of augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR).
