Most freshers entering the VFX industry had zero hands-on training and needed months of additional studio training just to be job-ready. Traditional courses were teaching outdated theories and unused software, forcing students to waste time relearning industry-relevant skills. Even media degree graduates faced the same challenge, realizing their education hadn’t prepared them for real-world production.
This gap between education and employment became more evident during the COVID era, as studios searched for skilled artists while students struggled to break into the industry. That’s when we knew change was needed.
